Acrylic & Impasto
Series in
Harrisville/Lincoln
  • This series of 3, three week courses, will introduce students to the
    different drawing mediums and tools.  Learning how to hold
    pencils and charcoal, make different strokes, apply different
    pressures, and how to make basic shapes look dimensional
    through shading and highlights.  Course progresses from stroke
    work to still life and landscape.  (Recommended ages 10+)
  • Sessions I & II: Tuesdays, June 19 - July 31st, 10:30AM - NOON

  • Fee for each three week course:  $90.00
  • Fee for all supplies: $50.00 (approximately)

Drawing Basics

  • This program will teach students how to organize a composition,
    prepare & sketch on canvas, & apply acrylic paint in different ways
    to create dramatic results.  Six week course will produce one
    painting and several work studies.
  • Dates: Fridays, February 24 - March 30th, 3:00PM - 5:00PM
  • Location:  Tawas Bay Performing Art Center, 211 Newman Street,
    East Tawas, MI.
  • Course Fee: $180.00 plus supplies.

  • This Jam Session for Visual Art is designed for ages 6 to 96.  Each
    Art Jam will expose students to different art media.  One finished
    work will be completed each session.  Mediums to explore:  Silk
    Painting, Gouache on Rice Paper, Fresco, Sculpture, Pan Pastel
    Painting, and more.
  • Saturdays, February 11, March 10, April 14, May 12, & June 9
  • Time: 4:00PM - 6:00PM

  • Fees vary depending on the session topic: $30.00  - $35.00 each.
